The third and final Spanish-speaking country that my classes learned about is Ecuador. Like Mexico and Guatemala, we took two class periods to learn about the four categories in relation to our new country.
For the first day we reviewed the map, including the location and flag of each of our three countries, and I showed pictures of my trips to Ecuador. We then talked through the elements of our four categories, learning which ones were found in Ecuador. Lastly we learned the third verse of our 4 Categories Song, which addressed these elements that I experienced in Ecuador.
On the second day we filled out our 4 categories table for Ecuador and played ¡Dibujarlo! (Pictionary) to practice the vocabulary that went along with our Ecuador lessons.
